Teaching

I approach teaching as both an intellectual and developmental practice. I want students to think rigorously, engage theory with depth, and apply knowledge in ways that are clinically, culturally, and ethically responsive. Across courses, I emphasize conceptual clarity, critical reflection, and the integration of research, practice, and lived experience.

My teaching is shaped by interdisciplinary formation in philosophy, theology, and psychology, by training in counseling psychology, and by more than two decades of pastoral service as a Catholic priest. I aim to create learning environments that are demanding, supportive, and attentive to the real conditions students bring into the classroom.
